to my suprise.. i passed the ACLS course! hehehehe.. tak rase deserve pon,, tapi okeh aaa.. takkan laa aku nak argue ngan instructor tu supaya failkan aku.. ye tak?? hehehe.. the course was kewl and grand.. after d course aku dah rase konfiden sket laa nak duk kat spital and pegang arrest bleep.. n pasni kalo ade orang tetibe arrested and unconcscious, kat tengah hutan belantara ataupon di tgh kesibukan kota..buleh laaa aku attend,, before ambulance sampai, untuk check responsiveness,, call for an AED,, kasik 2rescue breathing (phuuhh phuuhh),, and then 5 cycles of 30 chest compressions (hiyarrkkhh hiyarkkhh!!),, makin sure that the compression is hard and fast with a rate 100compression/min, allowing the full recoil of the chest between each compression.. hahhaha.. excuse the post-ACLS syndrome..

anyways,, there are a few people that i would like to thanx.. without whom,, this would not be possible…

1-EKA who reminds me that this course bukan untuk main2.. faculty kasik all the handbooks and handout sebulan before course kerana ade reason.. supaya ko study tul2.. bukan untuk study the day before course.. hehehehe.. that reminder really makes me open the book and study carefully (the nite before the course.. dont blame me.. i just went back from holiday.. takkan nak bukak buku mase hari raya.. tak ke??)…

2-AINI who gave a few tips mane yg kene give priority.. haaaaiihh.. seb baik… kalo tak mane aku nak abes bace all hundreds of pages tuuu..

3-MARISA who told me that Kevin, the surgical intern in Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe will be there… cute.. but gay?? apekah?? buat penat aku usya saja.. hahaha!! tp die baik aaahh weh…

4-pacik NEIL the head instructor of the faculty who had a very god job on the course.. plus his kekacakkanness telah berjaya menolong aku pass dalam ACLS course ni kerana telah tidak tidur semasa presentation yg diberi kerana terlalu khusyuk… ngeeehhhaheee.. penting tuuu.. sebab aku ade attention deficit disorder..

5-Pa’an with all the crash course the night before ACLS.. takci!! markah ko lagi tinggi dari aku!! tapi takpe,, aku pon dapat 100% gak dalam last MCQ.. ngeeheheh…

and thanx to any other people yg involve directly on indirectly.. tengah bersemangat pegang arrest bleep untuk oncall ini hari.. tapi aku hope takde orang arrested laaa.. aku slalu palpitations everytime bleep went off.. and i kno that palpitations is not good for the heart.. please,, dont give me a heart attack people… be good,, and be healthy… ok… till next time!! congratulate mee again.. hehehehhehe….

I just hate that feeling when I need to go back from a long holiday.. I arrived at aglish around 5.30pm.. after 33hours journey!! Yeap.. tak caya?? I leave home kat jalan mariamah Sunday kol 4pm and only arrived here at aglish around 1.30am Tuesday m’sian time.. haa kire aaaa.. now.. I missed my mum, the family back home, the surrounding, the smell, and every other things.. It just makes me paralysed, staring at the ceiling the whole night doing nothing,, not really know what to think about.. but I know that im doomed. My team was ontake during the weekend, so its gonna be busy today on Tuesday.. im going to have an ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) exam course both on Wednesday and Thursday; but I just started study the day im going back (theres a thick big manual book, then a small 92pages handbook, then a few handouts, a disc to watch and a pre-course test to be done! kalo fail abes aa aku!!).. and oncall on Friday, post-take on Saturday and then oncall again on Sunday; with a boring clinic on Monday to start the week.. yes.. Im dead by next week..

But here’s a warm welcome that I get today:

Dr F (SHO to Dr R): the children is here.. (referring to me and Pa’an). Owh, and look! The cheeky intern is back from a long holiday!

Dr O aka Abang cik: roqiah!!! (the minute he sees me).. I missed u!! here’s 2 pages of patients list to welcome you back.. (oh no!! the longest list that I had is only ¾ page! And 2 pages list on the 1st day back here?? A big NO NO NO!!!)

Dr H (oncology reg): roqiah, u’re back! How’s the family in Malaysia? Are u oncall this friday? Good, I’m oncall too. Its good to be oncall with you.. (as if im looking forward for the oncall….)

Miss G (Elmed nurse): nice shoes.. where did you get it? (of coz laa Malaysia.. kasut cumel2.. kalo aku cakap kasut ni 12euro saja ~ RM55 mesti ko tanak caya..)

Pa’an (fellow intern to Dr OD): haihhh.. dah tatau buat keje dah?? (yeee .. aku agak lost ini hari..)

Mr M (patient of Dr R in A Block): Good morning gentlemen.. (referring to my team).. owh and a lady.. (cis,, takci.. tak nampak aku kee awal2 tadii??!?)

Miss yang aku tatau name die ape (Block A nurse): what’s the most cracking news back there.. uve gone for so long.. are u getting married? (haissyy.. ada kaaa?? Die tak bace ke statemet Dr F di atas?? im still a child..)

Dr OM (aka bapak ku): looks like roqiah is back full with energy.. aren’t u jet lagged? (when he saw me bring a handful of thick medical chart… ko ingat aku larat ke?? Berat laaa.. dah laa tanak tolong.. tau aa ko konsulten,, n aku ni intern sajaa… kot yee pon takkan tego jeee.. tolong laa angkat.. blagak aaa.. ingat aku tak penat?? hehehe.. tapi die konsulten,, takkan nak hangkut medical chart yg berat2 tuu.. tak konsulten aa camtu kannn.. n tak kuli laaa aku camtu kannnn…. Cisss!!)

A few nurses in C ward: we havent seen you for a long time in C!! (heheh,, ingat suke sgt kee aku wander around kat ward nihh??)

Dr N (SHO to Dr E aka abang tiri): im so happy to see u again.. I………………………………….. (as always.. a sweet talker and a gentleman.. ayat seterusnya terpaksa ditapis oleh majlis penapisan filem negara cawangan Kg Mayo atas sebab-sebab yang tidak dapat dielakkan.. hehehe..)

Dr FR (SHO Sacred Heart Hospital): welcome back roqiah.. how are u doing.. here have some chocolate.. ure so small.. u need some more sugar… (erk?? And I thot I gained weight already.. plus I was eating a danish bread with potato chips during that time.. and I had 2 bowls of shrimp porridge earlier on..)

Abang cik (again during lunchtime): I want to welcome u again.. I cant welcome u enough.. I paid for your meal already.. (haihh.. bestnye..)

Mrs N (patient for angiogram tomorrow): best of luck on your carier.. u are a very nice lady doctor.. (thanx.. I kinda need that luck)

Mr J (an acquaintance): ure a doctor?? I think u pick a wrong choice.. its ongoing learning.. ure gonna be student for life!! I had a friend bla bla bla… (heh,, I think ure right.. but a choice is never wrong.. its your ability to adapt make it the right choice.. or a wrong ones..)

Hehehehe.. back to reality.. loads and loads of patient to treat and entertain,, ok laaa.. aku daaaa dulu.. nak bace things for ACLS.. wish me luck.. and best of luck to ye all!!
